Paneer tikka is a popular and delicious tandoori snack which can easily be made at home. It is a popular paneer recipe prepared from marinating paneer chunks with spices and yogurt and grilled in a tandoor or tawa. it is an adapted recipe from the popular chicken tikka recipe for non meat eaters or paneer lovers.Every lavish Indian dinner party is sure to have some tikkas. Paneer, capsicum and onions marinated in a yogurt based mirande. Skewered and grilled till brown. Paneer tikka is a delicious must-have vegetarian snack at any party. A tikka recipe that will surely give you the restaurant-style paneer tikka that you've been craving for.
It's a starter dish made of paneer with lots of spices grilled in a tandoor. It's served with fresh lime juice and green mint chutney , onion, tomatoes and capsicum seasonings. It's very popular all over india now. And now many types of paneer tikka are available in india like - masala paneer tikka, gravy paneer tikka, kashmiri paneer tikka,etc.
Traditionally paneer tikka was made in clay ovens known as tandoor. With time and trend now they are also made in electric ovens and even on gas stove using tawa (Indian griddle/pans).No matter whether we make on tawa on stove top or in oven or in tandoor or barbeque, the marinade made is standard and same. 
Paneer is fresh cheese made by curdling milk with lemon or any vegetable derived acid.
